As a specialist in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Ritter has completed an advanced program of education and training. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1978 from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Ritter continued his general dental training by doing a general dental residency program at Mount Sinai Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1979, he began his two-year orthodontic training program at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Ky. In 1981, Dr. Ritter received his certificate in orthodontics and his Master's of Science degree in dentistry. In addition to his academic qualifications, Dr. Ritter prides himself on exceeding the standards of his profession. For example, continuing education is a priority for Dr. Ritter in order to keep informed of the latest developments in orthodontics.
Dr. Ritter was has been on staff at several Dayton hospitals, including Children's Medical Center, where he was an orthodontic specialist for the Cleft Lip/Palate Team. Dr. Ritter is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, Great Lakes Orthodontic Association, American Dental Association, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity and the Dayton Dental Society. He has also served on many local and regional boards for both professional and civic organizations and is very active in numerous philanthropic community activities.
Dr. Ritter and his wife, Wendy, were married in 2000.
